The Assepro Group, a leading Swiss insurance broker in the risk and pension sector for small and medium-sized enterprises, has successfully acquired the Austrian insurance broker Dr. Rinner & Partner GmbH. Hule Bachmayr-Heyda Nordberg advised the sellers on the M&A transaction led by partners Dr Christian Nordberg, LL.M. and Dr Martin Frenzel, LL.M..
Assepro was formed in 2016 through the merger of the previously independent Swiss companies Swissbroke and Fraumünster Insurance Experts. Through further organic and inorganic growth, the Assepro Group has developed into a leading independent broker in the risk and pension sector for small and medium-sized companies in Switzerland. Since the end of 2020, Assepro Group has been majority owned by the French private equity fund EMZ Partners.
At the end of December 2022, the buyer Assepro Österreich GmbH acquired the Salzburg-based insurance broker Dr. Rinner & Partner GmbH, which specialises in health insurance, in order to expand its portfolio.
