Building owners and property developers also regularly rely on our expertise. We provide advice on the construction permit process and on obtaining all of the approvals required from public authorities. We draft the suites of contracts relating to the project, such as contracts for building works and services, general contractor’s agreements, architectural agreements, rental contracts and commercial leases or facility management agreements.
Our advisory work also covers the time during construction; for example, by defending clients in a timely manner against claims for additional costs or giving proper notice of them. As a general principle, many conflicts can be avoided through precautionary legal advice. Should it nevertheless prove necessary, we serve as advocates for our clients’ interests in construction litigation before state courts or arbitral tribunals.
